El golpe de calor puede presentarse en el momento o despu\u00e9s de varios d\u00edas de alta temperatura.<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"texto\\\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1les son los s\u00edntomas?<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>Es importante estar alerta ante los siguientes s\u00edntomas:<br \/>\n&#8211; sed intensa y sequedad en la boca<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0temperatura mayor a 39\u00ba C (medida en la axila)<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0sudoraci\u00f3n excesiva<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0sensaci\u00f3n de calor sofocante<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0piel seca<br \/>\n&#8211; agotamiento, cansancio o debilidad<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0mareos o desmayo<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0v\u00e9rtigo<br \/>\n&#8211; calambres musculares<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0agitaci\u00f3n<br \/>\n&#8211; dolores de est\u00f3mago, falta de apetito, n\u00e1useas o v\u00f3mitos<br \/>\n&#8211; dolores de cabeza (sensaci\u00f3n de latido u opresi\u00f3n)<br \/>\n&#8211; estado de confusi\u00f3n, desorientaci\u00f3n, delirio o incluso coma o convulsiones<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"texto\\\">\u00a0En los beb\u00e9s adem\u00e1s se puede evidenciar:<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"texto\\\">\u00a0&#8211; la piel muy irritada por el sudor en el cuello, pecho, axilas, pliegues del codo y la zona del pa\u00f1al.<br \/>\n&#8211; Irritabilidad (llanto inconsolable en los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os).<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"texto\\\"><strong><br \/>\n\u00bfQui\u00e9nes son los m\u00e1s vulnerables?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\\\"texto\\\">Cualquier persona puede ser v\u00edctima de un golpe de calor. Sin embargo se debe tener especial cuidado con los siguientes grupos ya que tienen mayor riesgo de padecerlo:<br \/>\n&#8211; beb\u00e9s y ni\u00f1os especialmente menores de 1 a\u00f1o (ya que su cuerpo tiene menor capacidad para regular su temperatura)<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0beb\u00e9s que padecen de fiebre por otras causas, o diarrea<br \/>\n&#8211; personas con enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas (afecciones card\u00edacas, renales o neurol\u00f3gicas)<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0ni\u00f1os obesos o desnutridos<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0personas que tienen la piel muy quemada por el sol<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0j\u00f3venes que abusan de bebidas con alcohol y de drogas<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0personas mayores<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"texto\\\">\n<strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo prevenirlo?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\\\"texto\\\">\u00a0Para evitar un golpe de calor en zonas y\/o \u00e9pocas de lastas temperaturas, es importante:<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"texto\\\">&#8211; Evitar bebidas con cafe\u00edna o con az\u00facar en exceso<br \/>\n&#8211; Evitar bebidas muy fr\u00edas o muy calientes<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0Evitar comidas pesadas<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"texto\\\">\u00a0Con los m\u00e1s chicos:<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0No esperar que pidan agua. Ofrecer continuamente l\u00edquidos, especialmente jugos naturales. En el caso de lactantes ofrecer el pecho de manera m\u00e1s frecuente.<br \/>\n&#8211; Vestirlos con ropa holgada, liviana, de algod\u00f3n y colores claros o incluso desvestirlos.<br \/>\n&#8211; Ba\u00f1arlos y mojarles el cuerpo con frecuencia.<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0Proponer juegos tranquilos evitando que se agiten.<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0Evitar que se expongan al sol \u00a0especialmente en el horario del mediod\u00eda o bien, protegerlos de sus efectos si no se puede evitar la exposici\u00f3n: con el uso de ropa adecuada (sombreros, ropa de manga larga) y protectores solares adecuados.<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0Mantenerlos \u00a0en lugares bien ventilados o bien con aire acondicionado (ya sea en casa o lugares p\u00fablicos) cuando la temperatura ambiente es muy elevada.<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0Nunca permanezca con ellos dentro de un veh\u00edculo estacionado y cerrado.<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"texto\\\">Para todos:<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0Evitar bebidas con alcohol ya que aumentan la temperatura corporal y las p\u00e9rdidas de l\u00edquido. No es conveniente tomar cerveza ante la sed y el calor.<br \/>\n&#8211; Evitar la actividad f\u00edsica intensa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo debemos actuar si ocurre?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\\\"texto\\\">Es importante actuar r\u00e1pidamente. En primer lugar \u00a0se debe intentar baja la temperatura del cuerpo de la persona afectada,\u00a0con hielo o con un ba\u00f1o en agua helada.<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"texto\\\">Adem\u00e1s es importante:<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0ofrecer agua fresca (o incluso agua con una cucharadita de sal)<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0trasladar a la persona a un lugar fresco y ventilado<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0no administrar medicamentos antifebriles<br \/>\n&#8211; no friccionar la piel con alcohol<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"texto\\\"><strong>El golpe de calor puede ser muy grave, en especial para los beb\u00e9s y ni\u00f1os peque\u00f1os.
